My husband and I are essentially the same height, so I needed a flat shoe for dancing - which doesn't seem terribly easy to find. These shoes are advertized to be your standard size. I would suggest considering 1/2 size larger if you are on the edge between sizes. I decided to keep mine though they are a bit snug as they are leather and I anticipate a little stretching after a few uses. These are basic - which is exactly what I was looking for.
Definitely recommended as a good basic dance flat.
